His father and mother met in the military just after 3 months of dating they got married. After two years, Christopher Jongamawawa Ndonga was born in Pretoria at the One Military Hospital on the 1st of January 1995.

He was later moved to live with his paternal grandmother in the Eastern Cape at Mount-frere for 10 years. He came back to live with his parents after his grandmother passed away. His mom and dad later left the army.

He continued with his primary education at Uitsige Primary School in Centurion. “I didn’t know English when I moved to Pretoria because of the poor education system we had in our village, I had to attend speech therapy in order to perfect it,” said Ndonga.

He participated in various sport but excelled in rugby and was selected to play for the Junior Blue-Bulls rugby team when he was in Grade6.

He scored himself a scholarship to play rugby and study at Pretoria Boys High School. “It was a privilege for me to get a scholarship to enrol at Pretoria Boys High School, it groomed me to be the man I want to be, said Ndonga. In his grade10 year, he got selected again to play for the under-16 Blue-Bulls Team. He was involved in athletics, basketball but was more focused on rugby.

During his grade 11 year, The University of Arkhansans from overseas wanted to give students from his school scholarships to study at their University and he was lucky he got accepted. But towards the end of 2013 when he was in grade12 his parents changed their minds as they believed this will be expensive for them in the long run.

He then enrolled at the Tshwane University of Technology in 2014 after doing his Matric. “I have always had an interest in Law, I then decided to study Legal Assistance here at TUT,” said Ndonga.

He is involved at the TUT South Campus Clinic, he is a facilitator in a group called The Right of Passage and is involved in many other programmes within TUT. He is also an active member of the Democratic Alliance Student Organisation (DASO).

“I saw a poster that wanted Mr & Miss TUT participants, I decided to try it out because it something I have never done before and it been an experience,” said Ndonga.

Ndonga’s girlfriend Busisiwe Dlamini said his partner is very intelligent, he always want to make a difference and he is positive about life.

Sandile Maseko a friend of Ndonga said “He cares about other people, he is a person that speaks his mind regardless of the circumstances and he is a God fearing man.”

His advice to students is that they should just experience what life has to offer.
