Nthabi Mokgosi the brains behind the YouTube channel
RealTalkWithNthabi, is a mover and shaker who was born and bred in Mahikeng
(Tsetse village) in the North West. Nthabi is a public speaker, a web and
graphic designer by profession, and an entrepreneur.
“IL Designs started when I was 22 years old, I love
designing and used that as a way to start my company, I started offering the
service to students and later grew the brand to various clients and brands,
also IL Designs gave birth to Entrepreneur Puzzle which is an online magazine
for entrepreneurs to elevate their businesses” Says Nthabi
RealTalkWithNthabi her YouTube channel, she says it
was inspired by her own story of life growing up from a village with no much
opportunities, “I now have a channel under this brand which inspires the world
to be the best versions of themselves, I see it as the next Oprah Winfrey show
as I engage the audience with various topics that will leave you wanting more out
of life.” Says Nthabi
RealTalkWithNthabi is a registered non-profit organization;
it empowers learners, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds. In 2015
Nthabi launched the RealTalkWithNthabi sanitary towels and deodorants campaign “This
aims to rebuild the confidence of teenage girls and boys; most importantly to
keep them at school and to focus on what more important which is their studies.”
Says Nthabi. They have reached a number of provinces with this initiative
including North West, Gauteng, Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu Natal
and more."Nthabi with her Sanitary Towels and Deodorants Team." Image courtesy of Nthabi
As we wrapped up women’s month yesterday Nthabi on
Gender-Based Violence says that she doesn’t believe a person was born to kill or
rape and that something might have triggered that. “Teaching and observing
children's behavior from a young age can prevent some of this violence we
facing, together we can do more and communities need to report what is
happening around them.” Says Nthabi
Nthabi is excited about the future as she believes a
lot of opportunities are going to open in her craft. “I am an idealist and
persistent at the same time, so I am also open-minded on the next best
opportunity relevant to my brand, expect growth in my design career, and seeing
more of me in the digital space.” Says Nthabi.
